confession #5 so, it's 9am on a saturday morning and i'm - shock horror! - awake. not only that, but i'm also showered and dressed and hair-straightened, have defrosted and cleaned my fridge, done one load of laundry with one more in the machine and read The Australian front to back. i have to admit i'm a little worried here...

see, i view saturday mornings as a time to sleep. that's it, nothing else. nada. zero. zilch. not for reading or eating or running -- no, my friends... that all comes after the clock has hit 12.01pm. don't get me wrong, i love all those things, but on saturday mornings, there is a time and a place for everything.

so, with my newfound early-bird in check, i plan to have A Very Productive Day. i'm going to Paddy's market in Chinatown to peruse all the beautiful spring produce (asparagus and artichokes and nectarines oh my!), then off to the fish markets to pick up some salmon and maybe some prawns, to Lincraft in the city to buy some zippers for the cushions i'm sewing, then i plan to slump gloriously in the sun at Rushcutter's Bay park, with the rest of the weekend papers and some macadamia nuts. i think a drink or two at the Opera Bar with my lovely friend cam might have to be on the cards too.

outside, the sun is already searing the placement, the wind is churning and i've dragged out the summer clothes. hopefully, wherever you are in the world, the sun is shining and you're starting your saturday morning with a fresh view on things too.

love you all
