Even though renting means you can't drill holes to mount frames, or paint or knock down walls, there's just so much you can do to create a stylish space without making any drastic changes.

A wall decal is my favourite way to dress up a room. Versatile and inexpensive, a decal can be removed and swapped for a brand new one when you get sick of staring at the same thing. From tress branches to birds, telephone poles to gorgeous prints, the design you set your heart on can be applied to mirrors, walls, tiles, fridges - you name it, it'll stick. So many young designers are catching on this trend, just hop on etsy and you'll fall in love, i promise!

I love elly nelly's classic style, especially the faux tiles. Who woulda thunk you could have beautiful tiles gracing your wall without lifting a hammer?

DaliDecals also do fab designs. birds seem to be everywhere at the moment, i know, but i just can't resist our little feathered friends perched on a powerline. can't you just see this one in a library, above a buttery leather chair, with books piled right and center?

single stone studios are a must for the littlies (or the young at heart!) imagine the chubby little bird above a cot - i love anything baby-related so it's easy to convince me. and the giraffe? how cu-yte would this be in a tiny man's room, measuring his towering height?

apologies for the short post tonight, i'm suffering from a bit of writers block. I'm heading out after work tomorrow night but there will be more posting come the weekend, i promise. oh so looking forward to a sleep in!

happy decal-ing! ness x
